A NEW CHAPTER:
RE-INTRODUCING YOUR LOCAL FOOD BANK
For more than 40 years, the Concho Valley Regional Food Bank (CVRFB) has been a trusted neighbor - quietly
and consistently working to ensure that no one in our community goes to bed hungry. Today, we’re turning the
page and embracing a new chapter: a renewed look, a refreshed voice, and an even deeper commitment to the
people we serve.
Over the past two years, CVRFB has stepped forward as an independent food bank, no longer affiliated with
national networks. This move wasn’t just about change - it was about choice. It allows us to respond more
quickly, build stronger local partnerships, and create community-based solutions that reflect the realities of the
Concho Valley.
MORE THAN A BOX OF FOOD
We know hunger is about more than an empty plate. It’s often a signal
of deeper challenges—unstable housing, family stress, health concerns,
or lack of access to resources. Hunger affects learning, long-term
health, and emotional well-being.
That’s why we no longer measure success in pounds of food. Instead,
we focus on people fed, families supported, and hope restored.
Food security means knowing your family has access to consistent,
nourishing meals. It’s not just about getting food - it’s about getting
the right help at the right time, with dignity and choice.
SHOWING UP FOR OUR NEIGHBORS
At CVRFB, we believe in meeting people where they are.
Whether it’s at a school, a rural pantry, a church distribution, or a doorstep delivery - we show up.
We listen. And we act.
Here’s how we’re doing that every day:
• Partnering with over 100 food distribution and feeding sites
• Providing 1,400+ food bags weekly to children across the region
• Offering emergency food boxes outside traditional hours
• Delivering food to neighbors with transportation barriers
• Hosting monthly mobile distributions in high-need neighborhoods
WEEKEND SNACKPACK PROGRAM
• Supporting rural pantries with fresh produce and protein
These efforts are rooted in care, collaboration, and creativity - because fighting hunger in rural West Texas
doesn’t come with one-size-fits-all solutions.
